Name: Jason Schwab on Sep 16, 2012Comments: I am sick and tired of the majority of today's media more of quantity over quality. too many films and tv shows using cgi. too many movies released in 3D. too many pixar type animated films. too many remakes/prequels/and reboots that get less than half of the original source material right. I myself want to make movies someday to not only bring back that level of quality , but also to bring back the experience. everything is either too loud , too much explosions , too many based on __ categories , too many films that has struggled to match the level of masterpiece quality and most of today's film of all genres are showing obvious signs that hollywood is showing crystal clear signs of a seriously growing problem. hollywood needs to find people in america who have such creative talent without needing a college degree , and they need to take more risks and allow new directors , actors , and franchises to explore and experiment with. not every film needs to be made based on the soul purpose to only make a quick buck and just because a film can make over 1 billion dollars it doesnt automatically mean that the film is in good quality. hell , even the acadamy awards have gotten worse over the years. from a man like myself who have spent 13 years devoted to my own work and a mission to turn my designs and stories into american anime films , I too desire to make my films someday at a better level of quality by using the old school methods that has withstood the test of time and became classics even after decade later. finally , when it comes to making films with people who have a gift of creativity and imagination (like myself) , the best advice I have ever heard from any special effects artist comes from Rob Bottin (The Thing) : Creativity Takes No Short Cuts. it is our job to make sure that all classics are never forgotton , and with such a rare breed of creativty , imaginative , and ambitous people , the one thing that i strongly believe that hollywood fails every single time to understand is that creativity and originality isnt dead. there are everyday people who carry the blazing creative spark. you just have to know where to look. "You stood on the shoulders of geniuses to accomplish something as fast as you could, and before you even knew what you had, you patented it, and packaged it, and slapped it on a plastic lunchbox, and now you're selling it, you wanna sell it. Well..."Flag

As a huge fan myself and a Writer/Director, I'm more than happy to sign the petition and bring The Shape back into our fears.Flag
