Comments: We live in a country with freedom of speech that I proudly defend. Judge not the words and actions of others but the words and actions of oneself. Didier is a wonderful and inspirational person. Admitting, I didn't always agree with him during my training, yet I stayed the course only to realize that that my character grew stronger from letting myself absorb the thoughts and ideologies of another (Didier). He is a man of character, respect and love!

Comments: Hi Bridget, just wanted to say what a shame it is that the Y let Didier go. Teachers with his depth of knowledge and experience are rare. Theres plenty of teachers out there, but none who have imbibed the essence of yoga as Didier has through a lifetime of practice. He will be greatly missed, to the detriment of the members of the Y. Yours sincerely, Ben Lewis

Comments: Meeting Didier and learning yoga from him has changed my life and whatever was said or done I am sure can be solved through words and an apology, without such drastic action. I know Didier, he is an extremely compassionate man and I know that his intentions are never hurtful. His leave from the Y is a tragedy and it denies so many people the opportunity to learn and practice yoga with someone who really knows, loves and above all lives the practice --a true yogi.

Comments: I am truly disappointed to hear this. My yoga practice started during my 12years of living overseas and was bound with my Buddhist practice. I came back to America in 2006 and spent 3 years searching for a teacher, a practice and a yoga family like the one I had before and finally found that through Didier's classes... between the Winston and Brooks YMCA. I have engaged in several political conversations with employees and members at the Y...sometimes sharing the same views and sometimes not...and if this is the principle than many employees if not ALL employees should be fired from the Y. I am shocked to hear that such an action has been taken and hope strongly that the right thing is done and Didier is back in our rooms. I am pretty sure that I and my friends will not be supporting any other yoga classes at the Y until this is done.

Comments: Over the past 10 years I have practiced yoga at numerous locations accross the country. It is my opinion that Mr. Razon is the best all around instructor that I have ever encountered. The YMCA has other outstanding instructors for those who prefer a different insturctor. For the overall quality of yoga programs, I urge the decision makers at the YMCA to reconsider their decision. Comments: Didier Razone is the most wonderful yoga instructor I have ever had. He has been a great inspiration in my life and I JOINED THE YMCA ONLY BECAUSE OF HIM. It is a HUGE mistake and loss for YMCA and the community, if he is not teaching there. I am going to withdraw my membership , if he doesn't return.

Comments: I relinquished my Winston Y membership, and will reinstate myself only when Didier is re-hired in the very spirit of tolerance, peace, and lightheartedness to which he dedicates his life. The Y simply will not find a more versed teacher in all aspects of yoga. I have taken Didier's classes for 7 years; he would arrive back at the Y and extend particular love to those who dismissed him in the first place.

Comments: Didier is a gift to all of his students. He is the essence of kindness and brings a spirituality to the class that enhances all faiths. People should be open to new thoughts that ultimately bring you closer to your faith. I am deeply saddened that the YMCA has dismissed him and am hopeful that this decision will be reversed.

Comments: I have a great respect for Didier Razon and the invaluable contribution he makes to the lives of so many members of our community via his teaching of yoga! Thanks to Didier's yoga-teaching, our paths crossed, and I will be forever grateful for how he has deeply enriched my life from his teacher's mat. I am blessed to know Didier, and it's on his "shoulders" (and God's, of course) that I can confidently be on my yoga mat, sharing mind/body/spirit health. It was Didier who gave me the tools to be able to do this work and help make a positive difference in the lives of others! To remove Didier from the teacher's mat and from so many students who learn and grow from his teaching is like removing a key piece of a puzzle that helps our community become healthier in mind, body, and spirit. Didier has a God-given gift, via yoga and his loving personality, to help others form better balance in their everyday lives. He is an asset to any establishment and a well-respected member of our community -- on and off the yoga mat! To know him is to love him! May we forever love and grow in the understanding, compassion, and forgiveness of God. This question comes to mind: "What would Jesus do?" Thank you for bringing Didier back to the yoga teacher's mat at the YMCA as soon as possible! So many need his guidance; so many are waiting for his instruction. His services are very much missed and needed, and the YMCA is a wonderful and ideal venue for Didier to share his wealth of yoga knowledge, skilled teaching, and kind and loving heart. He is truly loved and adored my many! Thank you! God Bless, Penny Powell

Comments: I am currently a member of the Yates family first coast YMCA and a long time friend and student of Didier's. I am unaware of the specifics of Didier's comments but I am well aware of his political views. I do not necessarily agree with all of them nor do I believe it is appropriate for him to espouse them during his classes. This being said he is from a very different culture and to my knowledge has spent over a decade in an ashram in India. This has caused him to lean a bit toward the eccentric side and he has very little filter between his thoughts and his words. This is part of what allows him to connect with such a wide range of people as well as occasionally alienate them. So I implore you to reconsider your decision to terminate your working relationship with him. He is a empathetic family man and if consoled he is capable of being more sensitive to the views of others. He simply must be reminded that the Y is not his private studio and a different code of conduct is necessary for him to adhere to. Please give some additional consideration to his teaching for you. I know he is valued by many friends and fans throughout the Yoga community. Sincerely, Michael Grosh

Comments: well said in the statement above about dider. i have enjoyed his class for years and always look forward to his class and the passion he brings along with his intimate knowledge of yoga. he has great experience in this field and always has positive reinforcements to his those who attend his class, he is way overqualified to teach at the gym where i am a member but he does it anyway, because he loves and believes in it. i hope the ymca will reconsider their decision or they will lose a great asset to bringing yoga to americans and what it should be all about. sincerely, gene bingle
