Comments: I am interested in reigstering to be a Malaysian overseas voter. I had inquired twice to the Consulate General in NYC in the two occasions when I renewed my passport (2004 and 2009) and was twice told I could not vote because I was neither a Govt-sponsored student nor working for an international-based company. (I've been here on a H-1B visa since 2000). How can we go about changing the law that allows registered Malaysians overseas are allowed to vote as an absentee voter if they are not in the military/Malaysia Govt overseas or a student (private or publicly funded). Please email me the contact coordinator in the US and I will try to help anyway I can.

Comments: Although I must agree that increasing the speed liitms to 80mph will speed up the flow of traffic, particularly for those of us who have to commute to and from work each day (the vast majority of us these days), I do fear that more people will become more enclined to start driving at 90mph. With this in mind, I'm not sure it's such a good idea and could have the adverse affect, causing more pile ups and car accidents It's nice to see a firm of personal injury solicitors writing informative blog posts, who evidentally care about the well being of not just their client's but the well being of motorists in general.

Comments: Well, given the obvious and urrceovenable failure of markets and competition all around us, the analogue of “a man who believes in the market and in the power of competition” as an insult would be not pinko or commie (which I don't think are insults) but flat-earther : i.e someone who holds on to outdated, useless (except for the ruling class) dogma. But it's not an insult: it's a severe criticism, and an attack on Willets's intellectual honesty. He, like many tories, thatcherites and other conservatives, seems to believe that social control and preservation of a class structure is far more important than truth.
