The Kennel Club (uk) presently register pups from bitches of 12 months and over, irrespective of breed. This is fine for small and toy breeds who mature quickly. Large and Giant breeds take a lot longer to mature and therefore should not be bred from before the age of at least 22 months.This petition is to lobby the K/C into changing their rules for the breeding age of large and Giant breeds. To compile a list of such breeds and to discontinue to register litters from bitches under the age of 22 months from this list.
