As we all know, the dog population all around the world is booming. Thousand of dogs a day are being euthanised due to the lack of homes to care for these animals. Most of these animals are \"mixbreeds\". We try to fight this battle of overpopulation by trying to spread the word of spaying and neutering of your animals. This process doesn\'t work when somebody is breeding these mixes on purpose. It has come to our knowledge that Ravenwood Kennels of Garrett, PA is in the practice of breeding these mixes. Creating their breeds of dogs such as the Huskapoo (Siberian Husky and Poodle), Pomapoos (Pomeranian and Poodle), and the Schnoodle (Schnauzer and Poodle). This act of improper breeding and the selling of these \"created\" breeds should not be condoned. Ravenwood Kennels should not be allowed to maintain their breeding license. Breeding AKC registered dogs to eachother for the purpose of \"creating\" a new breed of dog is against everything the American Kennel Club stands for. Therefor we request that the American Kennel Club take any and all action necessary to help shut down the operations of the Ravenwood Kennel. This petition will be sent (snail mail and e-mail) to the American Kennel Club and the Siberian Husky Club of America on November 1, 2003. If you support our efforts to stop this irresponsable breeding then please sign below.

Comments: Thanks to the upscrupulous breeding of this kennel the 1200.00 siberian husky that I purchased in good faith from a kennel in Texas has had it's pedigree pulled due to the sire's father not being the actual father. Where did the grandfather and father of my dog come from Ravenwood Kennels.
