There is a magnificent collection of BBC TV programmes available on its website which could improve the lives of millions by informing debate, educating, dispelling prejudice, enabling protest and change in restricted media societies such as China and North Korea, regime change such we have seen in the Arab Spring, opening knowledge and learning to impoverished communities in India and Africa, breaking down barriers between cultures and spread access to the international language of English. But these programmes are ONLY AVAILABLE IN THE UK ! The BBC blocks access to TV programmes on the BBC iPlayer unnecessarily, as it created the programmes itself, the BBC owns the copyright ! British TV licence payers gain nothing from keeping its productions to themselves.
