FX has finally greenlit the show Powers based on the graphic novel by Bendis and Oeming. It's a story about two police detectives, Christian Walker and Deena Pilgrim, who handle cases that involve "powers" (people with superpowers). Who better to be cast as the rambunctious rookie Deena Pilgrim than BREA GRANT!?
Producer Chick Eglee should choose Brea because:
-She already has experience working on a successful primetime show involving the genre (Heroes ssn 3)
-Her strong acting chops can handle the complex character of Deena
-She is familiar with the technical/stunt work involving such an active show
-She herself is a fan girl and that kind of passion shows
-She knows the inner workings of Graphic Novels because she herself has co-written one ( We Will Bury You.)
-She is a walking physical manifestation of Deena so it would be phenomenal typecasting
