Name: Debbie Westlie on Mar 15, 2007Comments: My daughters both played basketball for Mr. Bravick and had Mr. Bravick as a teacher. He always treated them with respect and tried to build self-esteem. My daughters also told me that they never felt uncomfortable with Mr. Bravick. I think it is time for the Poynette School District to do the right thing and reinstate Mr. Bravick. He has given so much of his life to our kids and has not been found guilty of any wrong doing. He should not be discriminated against .I beleive this whole thing could have been provented by the administration with proper guidelines such as an adult female in charge of the locker rooms when ever students are present as well as a male adult supervisor in the boy's locker room. Hopefully the administration has corrected this for the protection of our children as well as for the protection of the teachers.Flag

Name: CAROLYN F. JENKINS on Mar 16, 2007Comments: I have known Dennis Bravick for a long time as a teaching colleague and a friend. He is truly a man of impeccable integrity, and I feel that because he is courageous enough to speak the TRUTH, he is a threat to the school administrators...I am concerned about the some of the tactics that have been employed by school officials.... Dennis wrote thank you cards to the teachers at one point, and Barb Wolfe demanded that they be taken out of teachers' mailboxes. I could go on and on of examples that are very disconcerting. Many teachers and other employees have left the system or who have been unjustly fairly treated and/ or fired. I realize we are trying to rally support for Dennis, however, unless you work in the district, it's hard to understand the level of oppression and lack of support for teachers by the administration. Discipline is a huge concern in Poynette. Dennis held his students to a high standard of conduct... he did not get backing from the school officials on this at all. I witnessed this many times. Again, I could site examples, but won't for the sake of brevity. Please, anything anyone could do to try to convince, persuade, plead with Barb Wolfe to step down and move on, the better. There are many teachers that I am certain support Dennis, but are fearful about the gestap tactics of the district... who will be next to lose their job for some trumped up reason. My heart hurts for Dennis and his family. I have been praying for them, and Barb Wolfe also. I just pray and ask the Lord to please allow her to step down with grace and dignity, and find another job that is more suitable for her. I don't want any harm to come of her... but please, isn't there some way we could persuade her to leave. I think until we have a new superintendant, the problems will persist... if not with Dennis, it will just be some other poor scapegoad. Sorry for going on and on, but I am so very concerned about the staff and students there!!!! It truly hurts my heart! And to you Mr. Wasserburger, and your daughter(s).... I cannot thank you enough for stepping up to the plate and going to bat for Dennis!!! You truly are an answer to pray. I am not able to afford much of a contribution right now, but hope I can in the future donate more. You see, I knew I had to get out of that district and resign... too toxic and dysfunctional for me to survive in. I left a good paying job for peace of mind... but continue to struggle with making a living still after resigning nearly 7 yrs. ago. Again, thank you for letting me vent!Flag

I do not believe that he did anything wrong and I believe that he should not be treated the way he is being treated. Give him his job back, give him his name back!Flag

He demanded discipline but I never heard that he was improper in his behavior. As close as he was with the girls, we parents would have heard something at sometime.Flag
