Comments: I have had my MY00 shut down 2 times due to Brant malfunction. I have contacted everyone from dealer to state regional manager to national managers. They all refused to help in any way other than requiring me to tow the car at my own expense to a dealership, and pay the dealer to punch in a few numbers to the keypad. I have since removed the system and replaced it with a better and more reliable 3 point immobiler system and have had no further issues.

Comments: If you buy a car, you're buying a car. You OWN that car. It is unfair for subaru to keep part of the car that YOU pay for.

Comments: My alarm went over night keeping me and my neighbours up, killed my battery, and I am now in the process of paying more money to finally have the situation resolved. I personally will have second thoughts towards a purchase of a subaru again.

Comments: I have a new Car steroe head unit and Amplier Fitted today 22/03/2008 the installter disconnectred the the battery to connect the wiring for the amplifier, when its done the security wont accept my pin code, I rang Subaru to have the the sucurity code supplied to me but they refused to give it to me their reason is for security purposes. I was told to have my car towed to the nearent Subaru service centre to have my Security pin reset. I think they put their policy this way to make profit out of it. When I asked the Customer service to have this security removed he told me that is passible but there will be a charged of more than $100 per hour, that was a ripped off service.

Comments: Car battery went flat reseting my security system. Subaru refused to give me the master code and requires me to get my car towed over an hour to pay them to do 10 minutes of work putting in a code. This is unacceptable service.
