I believe it is a fair statement to say that mortality is an uncomfortable thing for most people to contemplate. It is the choice of the individual as to how he or she will face death when it comes. Spiritual preparation is just as valid as scientific preparation, as life and death are truly very personal, polarizing concepts; no individual's concept of either will be exactly the same. Regardless of one's beliefs, the Brain Preservation Foundation seeks to give people more choices. This petition serves the pursuit of happiness, the advancement of technology and the preservation of human cultural complexity. Please give it your consideration.

I stand for brain preservation as a means of supporting an individual's right to life, as well as a means of insuring the quality of that life by allowing a better understanding of the human brain.

I believe this to be the future. I would gladly donate my brain/soul/conscious to further expand this science.

I saw my grandfather's brain deteriorate as a result of Alzheimer's, and with it his personality, memories, and knowledge. Understanding the brain, and being able to preserve it are some of the most important goals for all of us to collectively achieve.
