Robert Pugsley | This area should be protected, not polluted. Freshwater for many communities comes from this area. BP's environmental record is horrible. BC should be embarrassed to support this project.
Anonymous | Why does it seem like protected areas just don't stay protected in the name of natural resource exploitation?? This has got to stop......stop selling out our backyards!

Rob Colliver | I'm just one of the outsiders who have spent some time in fantastic Fernie - I love the space and wilderness - what can we do to help it stay this way?
Ron Carrothers | I believe this project is poorly conceived and inappropriate use of this area.
Melanie MacVoy | I am deeply opposed to the proposed coal bed methane project in the Flathead Valley and would like to see this area protected from development as one of the largest sensitive wilderness areas in our region.

Hans Holz | Whether the extraction of coal bed methane is harmfull to the enviroment or not ( I very much beleve it is ) the money invested in exploration would be better spent on the inevitable need to find alternative energy sources. If all money spent today in the search for conventional energy resources was directed to the search and implementation of alternatives we could start the global warming turnaround today. Take off the blinders, swallow deep and get on with what we really need to do!
Dan Sliva | I think we have a choice here. Its either the environment and recreation that thrives on it or gas wells everywhere.

Tomas Riha | Im from sweden, love the BC nature and I definatly dont want to see it ruined.
Anonymous | leave it how it is.. we have abused it thus far no need to go any further

Linda Breton | I strongly oppose further development into the wildlands of the Flathead. A park has been proposed for the Castle Crown area, which lies adjacent to the Flathead along the Continental Divide, but this idea still needs support as well (Castle-Crown/Andy Russell Wildland Park info: http://www.castlewilderness.ca/ ). Hopefully BC will act to protect the Flathead as these two regions form a vital wildlife corridor linking the US to the northern Rockies.

michelle small | It would be a real shame to destroy a natural environment just so another multi million dollar corporation can make more money. They say thay care about our environment, but frankly, I have yet to be convinced by any of their effort/actions.
