This petition is to gain signatures to establish a skills training program in Michigan that is  designed to teach those with BPD necessary social skills. This program will be offered in a group setting so that BPD sufferers can learn how to interact and establish meaningful relationships with others, gain a positive image of self, and reduce the number of suicides, self-harm, depression and inpatient hospitalizations. Along with DBT therapy and medication, I believe this will help BPD sufferers on their road to recovery. Having suffered from this disorder for over almost 10 years, I know exactly what those who have BPD are going through and I know what will help them. This is one way we can get others invlolved and erase stigma associated with mental illness.
