Boycott Subway

Dear Sir I am writing to inform you of my intention to boycott all Subway restaurants from now on. The reason for this is that two of your stores in Manchester have decided to serve exclusively halal products. I find the practice of ritual slaughter objectionable. Secondly, I feel that, to serve halal products at the exclusion of all others discriminates against non-Muslim customers. I have no objection to halal food being made available to Muslims; but in the same way, we all should have the freedom to choose whether or not we eat halal products. Apart from this, I have no other issue with Subway—in fact, I think you provide a quality product, and look forward to your reply, and a time when I can partake of Subway sandwiches again.

  • Hannah That is extremely insulting to me and I will never eat at subway ever again. I will also teach my teens (who love subway) precisely why we are not eating there ever again.

  • Anonymous Why can't they just not have ham or bacon on there sandwich. we should be able to have the choice. This is Canada or is it!!!! I will never go into a subway again......

  • charlotte I feel insulted that as a non-muslim customer, i have been eating Halal without knowing which is against my religion.
Compare that to feeding a muslim pork.
