Joeseph enterprises, the company behind chia pets, is suing a free educational and entertaining childrens website www.neopets.com for alledgedly cybersquatting and stealing the name chia for the species of one of the neopets. This lawsuit endangers neopets ability to remain a free site and the 30 million user (80 % under 17) will have to look elsewhere for entertainment on the net, which will most likely drive them to sites of questionable moral content. this is to ask them to negotiate with neopets rather than sue them for every penny the site has. this petiton will be sent to newidea@jeiusa.com on july 30, 2002. |

Neopets users. The oldest of our group encouraging the chia pet boycott for the month of july is 25 the youngest is 7. During the month of july not only will no member of our group buy a chia pet but will also refuse to shop at any store that sells them |
