All NHL fans. As you know a lockout has been brought upon us suspending the 2012/2013 season. The primary reasoning of this lockout is greed and players standing up for the money that they deserve. The commissioner, Gary Bettman, has nothing to lose by hosting a lockout. In fact he GAINS.. Or so he thought. It isn't a secret that Bettman doesn't care about the fans as he shows by the way he constantly belittles us. But he only does this because we let him! After the lockout he hosted in 2004 was lifted, the fans did not punish but in fact rewarded the owners and commissioner by bursting into the stands causing revenue to sky rocket. Bettman is predicting that this will happen again after he ends this lockout. It's time to stand up! By signing this petition you are promising that you will not attend a game for at least 2 to 3 weeks after the lockout is lifted if it is not lifted by October 31, 2012. The NHL relied on gate receipts for 50% of its revenue last season, so by not attending for these first few weeks we will put a huge hole in Bettman's and the owners' pockets. This is a much bigger loss for them as opposed to keeping the lockout for an entire season. Take your stand as a fan and sign!
