Making bottles to meet America’s demand for bottled water uses more than 17 million barrels of oil annually, The energy we waste using bottled water would be enough to power 190,000 homes,and only 22% of the used plastic water bottles are recycled. Colleges and Universities have been known to consume more plastic bottles annually than most other organizations. These are some of the shocking facts to which our campaign provides a solution and strives to achieve success in reducing the consumption of water bottles. Our recommendation is to remove the plastic water bottle from the meal plan at rebecca’s cafe on the Northeastern campus.

It is our belief that this is good first step to maintain the safety of our environment.
