Fox Television has always touted itself as a "family network"---but that myth was dispelled on the September 13th(2012) episode of the hit show "Glee". Kate Hudson's character, referenced ipecac to a young girl as a tool for weight loss. As the mother who lost her 22 year old daughter to complications of ipecac abuse, I was (an am) incensed at this level of ignorance and lack of responsibility to the millions of those who watch this show, and who are also suffering from an eating disorder or have body and self esteem issues. We will boycott Fox Television and their sponsors, until such time as they give a public apology and perhaps some education on the dangers of ipecac.
The reason for the boycott on Fox as a whole is that they are the parent company, and therefore ultimately responsible for the content of the shows aired.
