Californians Boycott Purchases from Amazon
Amazon cuts a deal with State Lawmakers to Collect sales tax on Amazon purchases sold to Californians.They will open 2 Amazon offices in 2 California cities. Total tax projected of 1st year totals $316 million. Amazon's Windfall Amazon would be $8 million per Calif City.
Formally, Amazon said that they would NOT sell in California if they were forced to pay a sales tax to the California Government. Amazon has changed their mind now that the state has cut Amazon a lucrative windfall. Amazon has agreed to set up two Amazon offices in two rural California cities. These cities would collect sales tax on Amazon purchases and for collecting the tax Amazon will receive a cut of the tax totaling $8 MILLION dollars in the form of "Sales Tax Rebates". The two California cities to set up Amazon Fulfillment Centers are San Bernardino and Patterson
