Airlines have become an oligarchy where when one raises its fares or fees, all the others follow suit. They are now proposing to charge fees for carry-on bags and for the water provided in flight and they are raising the ticket change fee from $200 to $300. These fees, in addition to the extra charges for which seat you select and bags you check have gotten out of control and are gouging the traveling public. Those who sign this petition have agreed to not fly during the week of June 23 through June 29th to send a signal to the airlines that we are no longer going to stand for this gouging. Southwest is exempted because they have not followed the other airlines fees. If a group of fliers can hurt them financially, they will think twice about adding these new fees. Please sign on.
