Sign to boycott 97x and Rascals Live for claiming to support local music then being biased towards local bands. These people have worked hard to bring music to our local scene. Dedicated sleepless nights, hard work, their hearts, their minds, their energy, their love, their creativity, and their SOUL to creating music. Just to be over looked for the typical and comfortable. The easy and predictable. You cannot claim to support local artists then look away from their loving fans and obvious talent and dedication. I'm sorry but it's a fact that those who have poured their heart and soul into CREATING music work a thousand times harder than those playing another bands music. I don't call that local music. Do you? Same lyrics. Same chords. Different bodies. Instruments do not make a band. The fire does. And they saw the fire in these bands eyes and our hearts. They saw us move and chant and scream and FEEL the music of these beloved artists and looked away. They refuse to show us the votes. They refuse to acknowledge their mistake. So make them. Make them see their listeners plumet. Make them see the list fill. Make them see this is NOT a bunch of 'Angsty Teens' (YES, Over heard from a bouncer AT Rascals Live) This is a group of people that love and ACTUALLY support our local artists who work so hard to bring us AWESOME music.
