I am a 14 year old eagle scout who is making a petition to send in to National in protest of their outrageous decision to uphold the anti-gay policy. In their statement, they said that most scouts and scouters and their families supported that. Fellow scouts, do YOU support that? I don't and neither does my scouting involved family. The fact that they stated that I support them is causing my family and I to seriously consider leaving scouting. We do not want to be thought of as anti-gay or homophobic. I am not ashamed of my eagle badge or the journey it took to get there, but I am ashamed to belong to this hateful organization, I am ashamed that somebody took something so good and did something so twisted and evil to it, and that in the 21st century we still haven't purged that evilness. If you are or were a scout, sign this petition in protest.
