This program is un-American and should not be supported by taxpayer dollars. If people want their kids indoctrinated in United "Useless" Nations doctrine on socialism, then they can pay for it themselves somewhere else.

We are already wasting money in the schools. I know because I have worked in them and seen the waste...I was not in a teaching capacity (at least not in the traditional sense) but was not fairly compensated as they are. I furthered my educaton the best way I could and was not compensated as they are. I used my chain of command on several occasions and was "relieved of my duties" for it. The entire department head and administration "team", if they truly have the taxpayers best interests in mind, should maybe consider refusing increases for a couple of years and allow the people who "mop up the mess" to live good for awhile. I'd love to see a "higher-up" support a family of 4 on 22k a year....spend appropriately.....
I am completely against the implementation of the IB Program in Bow Schools.
I do not agree with the idealogical teachings of this program nor do I think that the Bow taxpayer should foot the bill. As taxpayers - we receive zero benefit. Students and parents involved in the program may benefit - so let them pay for it individually. The school board should concentrate on making sure Bow students are getting a quality education in the basics - as evidenced by recent test scores, this is not happening right now.
Consideration of implemanting this type of program when cuts are being made to the basics is ridiculous. If a student has intrest in expanding their horizans in other countries the financial burden should lie on the individual not the tax payers as a whole. This is a program that will benefit a very small population of the district. Let's support the programs that can have a positive impact on the district as a whole.

If we cannot afford to have lights on streets in town. why should we support a program that benefits a few of the students. If the parents want their children to have this program they should find ways to have them take it. With times like they are, we certainly don't need to our taxes go up for a few.

The IB Programme has no place in the USA. Period. There is absolutely no local control. Enoguh said.
