There is currently a plan to 'discourage' kiters in the area, with the final consultation period finishing on the 15th of December 2008. Mudeford is one of the locations that Bournemouth Boarding cover which allows us to enjoy the sport in certain conditions. This location provides protential champions in the sport, and with kitesurfing being considered as an olympic sport in the near future, helps continue local talent which we currently have in the area. (Names withheld due to no permission at present) The majority of kitesurfers in this area hold insurance and kitesurf responsibily respecting the area and surroundings.
