Comments: Appropriate process was not followed in 1995 and we have already been taxed for road repair and maintenance. Boulder County must be held accountable to make good on its obligations.

Comments: Not meeting your obligations is highly immoral, it's called stealing. I wholly expect Boulder County to fulfill their obligation to the taxpayers. To think you would even consider "taxing" us again for what we have already payed for is abhorant! You should be ashamed. You are the ones in office and are therefore held responsible for remedying this situation. Saying that you are not responsible since you were not in office when the decision to spend the money in other ways was made, does not leave you off the hook. Do what is right and fix this by doing what should have been done in the first place...replace and repair the roads you are obligated to maintain.

Comments: When the County accepted these roads following dedication in the subdivision agreements the obligation of maintenance became perpetual and can not be unilaterally rescinded by later act of the Commissioners.

Comments: Attaching road maintenance to home value makes no sense. I can't figure out why the Boulder County Commissioners think this is the most equitable solution. Some of us have home values that are not consistent with salary and simply cannot afford any increases in property tax, especially increases that hit us more than most.

Comments: Stop making Colorado singled out amongst other states, hence even in other countries (not 3rd world) this is not even an issue?! Why is it in the United States we constantly make our own citizens pay for what should be rightfully taken care of by our own State/Country???

Comments: We have lived in our house for 36 years and have paid taxes to maintain our roads every one of those years. The last time our street was repaved was in 1980 -- that was 32 years ago and even 15 years before the county secretly changed the BCCP! What happened to all of that money? Our streets need to be repaved now!
