We the students, alumni, and fans of Pennsylvania State University are calling for the immediate resignation of all members of the Board of Trustees. We do not feel you are capable of making wise decisions, as you have shown recently by firing Joe Paterno, and ultimately as we believe, playing a part in his death by causing undue stress by taking away his life- Penn State. His life revolved around making Penn State the best university in the world (can you say that about yourselves?-we think not). He cared about everyone, not just football, and after six decades of his dedication you looked over it to (try to) make yourselves look better. And firing him by telephone? You didn't even allow him due process, but you also went about this in an extremely unprofessional manner. You had two months to correct this and chose not to. We need members of the board to be capable of admitting mistakes and correcting errors, not making poor choices to make yourselves look better. You should have stepped down when the scandal came out, not making a man who spent his life making Penn State a better place and who did report the information your scapegoat. He has done more good for PSU than all of you board members combined. We request immediate resignations from all members because that is in the best interest of the university, we do NOT need self seeking individuals making decisions for us any longer.
