Dear Friends,
WE DID IT!
We should all be very proud of ourselves! The package weighing 7.5 lbs was just mailed this past Friday to the Citizens' Stamp Advisory Committee. In case you're wondering how high a stack 7,510 signatures makes, here is a photo:
The final tally is as follows:
Signed Petitions
7,510 signatures
Online Petition
1,160 supporters
English Facebook page
2,512 supporters
Spanish Facebook page
91 supporters
Twitter Account

11,273
Of course, some of the names above may be repeated (handwritten and online signatures) but we think it all kind of evens out when you consider there are also MANY Online signatures (from Facebook or the Online Petition) that DID NOT sign a handwritten Petition Form. So we estimate there were about 9,000-10,500 of...

PLAN OF ACTION
Please read the article below about current stamp campaign efforts on behalf of other minority veteran groups that so far have been unsuccessful. What is obvious from reading the article is that our country feels a need to honor all of the various minority veterans who served valiantly and proudly in the U.S. Armed Forces but the Citizens Stamp Advisory Committee is not recognizing this need. We will continue our efforts for a Borinqueneers U.S. Stamp but encourage you all to support these other efforts simultaneously.
It is also obvious that our efforts to obtain a commemorative U.S. stamp to honor “The Borinqueneers” will be more difficult than we first imagined and will require an organized plan...
