Name: DAISEE BOGA on Nov 19, 2012Comments: I believe there are many Parsees who want their bodies to be incinerated instead of being thrown in the well, where they rot. We can have an option for Parsees for cremation at our Tower of Silence.I think we should move with the times. Our Tower of SIlence is no more around waste lands or forests, there are towers build all around it. When there were vultures we have heard of instances where droppings of body parts were found on the building balconies .Flag

Name: Shahrukh Irani. on Nov 20, 2012Comments: THis petition supported by identifiable persons may have only 157 comments unlike the list of members of another organisation who mentioned names of their members without consent. This lends greater credibility than names of members in a secular daily. It is observed that admins here delete all Anonymous posts even supporting the petition. This is known as transparency. Keep it up. Average Bawa shares your sentiments but is scared to mention his name. Are they true Zoroastrians? What are they scared of? Utter shame for such spinelessness. My fdull support and rest assured the support of silent baeas too, who are aftraid to speak out but may manifest during next electios as they are disillusioned.Flag

Name: Firuzi Mehta on Nov 26, 2012Comments: How can one guarantee that Parsi bodies will be free of diclofenac and other drugs that are harmful to the vultures.... most bodies are of people recently treated at hospitals by Modern medicine. The same situation, harmful to vultures, will arise. It makes no sense to try and breed them so long as this condition exists.Flag

Name: Amit Kumar Bhowmik on Nov 27, 2012Comments: Unfortunately, not only in Mumbai but also elsewhere like in Pune, Navsari,Surat the Parsi Punchayat Trustees act like zamindars throwing to the winds the touchstone of Zarathustra's teachings : Humata,Hukta,Huvastsata. There are less than 80,000 Zorastrians world-wide. Why squander the funds of benefactors and settlors this way ?I have picked up the gauntlet for some persons at the receiving end of the stick; who , according to them, are being discriminated against, and a merciless pogrom released against them , including a 70 year old cancer patient , who is sought to be being thrown out on the streets .Zorastrians should be ashamed of themselves for allowing these incidents to continue in Mumbai, Pune and elsewhere. Sahebji !!Flag

Name: Parizad Irani on Nov 29, 2012Comments: What guarantee that this project will be a success.? How can the trustees use the fund monies for experimenting on a project? There are better ways for using the funds. Use it for the upliftment of the poor and build affordable homes. It is better to use the monies for the living rather than for the dead. Everyone knows the community to be Progressive, but from the actions, it seems to be the most Regressive community, holding on to systems, which are not prevalent in today's day and age. Rise and move with the times and stop taking the community for a ride. Think, and do be a followers blindly. Stand up and question when something is not right.Flag

Name: Farzana Engineer on Dec 19, 2012Comments: Without getting personal about the BPP trust/ trustees, I do agree with the concerns drawn up in this petition and hope that this decision will not only be reconsidered but dropped completely so as to benefit the diminishing Parsi community. Please invest these funds instead to ensure that the community prospers - contradictory to everyone's belief, not all Parsi's are rich - there are many who are struggling to meet ends and have a happy and stress free life. It is an ardent request to support such families / individuals to progress in life rather than using the money for unnecessary purposes. Rs. 25 crores with recurring cost of around Rs. 50 lacs is a HUGE AMOUNT and can definitely be put to better use rather than for creating an aviary. I feel our community needs to unite and voice their concerns against any injustice or malpractices in general and while the BPP trustees may intend to experiment with this idea for all good reasons, it is a TOTAL WASTE of money. PLEASE RECONSIDER!!Flag

Name: Vispi Engineer on Feb 4, 2013Comments: I fully agree that the aviary project, once implemented will create more problems, than solving them, and even worse, the sanctity of Dokhmas, once lost, can never be regained. In fact, orthodox parsis will have no other options, but to opt for some far away dokhmas, like in Thane.Flag
