Name: Steven Nevels on Jan 11, 2013Comments: I live outside the city limits at 208 Rodeo Drive. A large truck stop built on the proposed site will do far more damage to the image of our beautiful hill country town than any tax revenue that may be generated.Flag

Remember what brought us to Boerne in the first place. We have to grow but recent issues show that you are not looking down the road. Thanks for your time.Flag

Name: Christine Prieto on Jan 11, 2013Comments: Other than a Buc-ees, I've not seen a single truck stop that improved the looks or value of an area. I live in the county and work in the city. The truck stop would not be far from where I work and I REALLY don't want it around.Flag

Name: Erle Adrian on Jan 11, 2013Comments: Our home borders on Shooting Club Road, and we seriously object to a truckstop at the proposed location. All the property across Shooting Club Road from the proposed location is residential, as is the property immediately adjoining it on the west. Until recently before all the commercial development occurred this was a quiet and very peaceful community of homes that had been there for many years. Although we are county residents, we have always supported the City of Boerne and have considered Boerne our home. We do not want this kind of facility in our neighborhood with all its associated noise and light pollution, increased truck traffic, and probable criminal activity. There is a large truck stop near Comfort, and we don't need another here. We don't want our side of town to become a slum. There are much better uses for this property.Flag

Name: Denise Herbst on Jan 11, 2013Comments: Don't we want a business that will be an asset to our community, not a liability and drain on our services already taxed to the limits? Be patient and wait for the right businesses that want to locate here. We can be choosy what we want our entrance corridor to be. Once you build it, you can't take it back. Can't even believe it's being considered. Not the Boerne we once knew..Flag

Please deny the annexation until a provision can be made to prohibit truck stops or similar commercial businesses access to Boerne. Thank youFlag
