SIR Bobby Moore

Its been frequently discussed that the FA Could of and should of recognised Booby Moores achievements more than they did, and he should of been given an honourary role within the FA as the only man to captain a triumphant English World Cup team. He was awarded the OBE in 1967, but i feel he should be knighted and recognised as Sir Bobby Moore. I know this may seem strange as he has passed away and I know it has never been done but i think it would be a great honour to his name. Everytime he is referred to, it would be as Sir Bobby Moore. To Quote Alf Ramsey: "My captain, my leader, my right-hand man. He was the spirit and the heartbeat of the team. A cool, calculating footballer I could trust with my life. He was the supreme professional, the best I ever worked with. Without him England would never have won the World Cup." The greatest Accolade in English Football history was possibly all down to him. PLEASE SIGN THIS PETITION, THE FIRST POSTHUMOUSLY KNIGHTHOOD SHOULD GO TO BOBBY MOORE

When you see athletes and other sports starts being given knighthoods so easily these days and many of these were not in the same sphere of Bobby Moore as an athlete and gentleman, it highlights even more the need for this honour to be bestowed upon this great man as soon as possible.
