We are attempting to get boat access to the Susquehanna River off of Susquehanna Avenue in West Pittston, Pa. Any person who has a boat, kayak, canoe, PWC etc should strongly consider filling out this petition to help in our attempt to get access to this section of the Susquehanna River that was taken from us over 10 years ago. The most logical spot to launch is between the Ft. Jenkins Bridge and Water Street Bridge on the West Pittston side of the river. Roughly 200 yards below the Ft. Jenkins Bridge the water drops off nicely to allow for easy removal and replacement of a boat from a trailer. The ground is largely small pebbles and a minimal amount of work and funding would greatly benefit anyone who would like to access the river in this area. There is adequate room for parking at least a dozen boats and trailers in this area, and prior to "the gate" being in place there was almost always multiple people utilizing this area.
