Comments: Foreign Language is much more useful to students than let's say FACS where they learn to bake cookies and sew buttons. Let's support our children for their future.

Comments: I have been a resident of Rehoboth for 32 years. My two older children attended Beckwith Middle School, and receive a great education. Now my 11 year old boy goes to Beckwith, and I am really concern about his education. Lets go Rehoboth!!!

Comments: For a town that claims to be the birthplace for public education in the US, this is pretty sad. Fund the schools - the kids are our future!

Comments: Eliminating Foreign Language at Beckwith will have a significant and negative impact on many of our children. Education is all about exposing our young to as many new and different thoughts and ideas as possible, not eliminating their options!

Comments: The need for a foreign language program in both 7th and 8th grade is critical to the growth of our children. Academic growth comes from challenges and diversity. Please reconsider hiring a foreign language teacher for grade 7.

Comments: I visited Sao Miguel in the Azores this month and I met a young boy there that spoke very good English and also Spanish - he was 12 years old. To speak 3 languages at that age, I thought "why not our children in our schools" And now this!

Comments: Learning to speak a foreign language is critical to the success of students in an increasingly diverse job market. If students in our town are denied access to foreign language classes, it will make them less able to compete with others entering the job market who are bilingual.

Comments: It's unthinkable to believe our children may not be afforded this opportunity at these grade levels. It was an opportunity I was afforded nearly 30 years ago, long before the global marketplace is what it is today!
