| 2206 | Janine Birch-Horn | My daught also had hip displasia and had to wear a hip spica and broomstick casts and we struggled getting in and out of the car when poeple had parked too close. I am all for having temporary blue badges to cover periods when children have these casts. Too late for us tho as out daughter no longer need a cast. |

| 2211 | Delphine Bulger | The fact that my daughter in her hip spica cast cannot fit into a pushchair means I have to carry her everywhere. The weight of the plaster makes her very heavy indeed and being able to park easily and close to where we need to go would make all the difference. My back in breaking from carrying her and the shopping. Sometimes I cannot park at all as spaces I am allowed in are not wide enough to be able to get her in and out of the car with the plaster. I cannot support this petition more strongly. We are like full time carers of disabled children, albeit only temporarily, and there is almost no support for us in this country. Just look at the difference in the US! |
