Name: Sarah McQuilkin on Nov 9, 2009Comments: As a Parent Partner / Advocate, I think this situation is ludicrous and i would do the same thing as this mom. I am for this type of petition. I have an autistic son who has not had the H1N1 shot due to fear and the nurses refuse to give it when he fights them..would I keep him home in an outbreak YES!!! To me, with the Edmunds SD, I think it may be all about the money..no special needs child in class...no federal money.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Nov 10, 2009Comments: I agree however I recommend that the duration of the child being out of school should be noted as "temporary", and added to the petition to distinguish the differences that home school would offer.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Nov 11, 2009Comments: I see no problem in allowing her to at least get the work with excused absenses. It does not seem logical to have Doctors note when she is already diagnosed. I can understand if she only had asthma but she doesnt. She has a high risk of suffering. Do you want to be partially responsible for her deathFlag
