Moratorium on Sale of Canadian Gov't Buildings

The petition

Whereas we, the named Constituents of Canada, are not satisfied that due diligence has properly been conducted on the sale of some of our Federal Buildings, we ask the Government of Canada and Prime Minister Stephen Harper to:

Place a moratorium on the sale of the proposed buildings so that the Department of Public Works and Government Services can provide the House of Commons committee which was charged with doing oversight on this transaction, with the relevant studies and information on the impact of the leasebacks.

Further,

we ask that no further movement on this issue be considered without the full engagement of the above committee to be involved in the process, and that part of that involvement is that the committee be dealt with openly and honestly and that they receive all relevant information needed to make an informed decision.
