Americans Grateful for Tony Blair standing against Iraq

British Prime Minister Tony Blair has put his entire political career on the line to join with President George Bush to fight terrorists by removing the Saddam Hussein regime in Iraq.

We, the undersigned American citizens, wish to convey our deepest gratitude to Mr. Blair for not abandoning this courageous stance in the face of detractors who do not have the fortitude to face the war in which we are already engaged.

We recognize that Prime MInister Blair has endured everything from ridicule to threats in his homeland and abroad for being a man of principle and vision for the free world.

The purpose of this petition is to let him see that everyday citizens in America, who are not able to be in the media on a daily basis, have a profound gratitude for his strength, clarity and perseverance.

The free world of the future will look back and see why Prime Minister Blair and President Bush took a powerful stance where some other leaders, past and present, have failed to do so. We see this as an uncommon valor, deserving of honor and recognition.

This petition will be forwarded to Prime Minister Blair at his Downing Street, London address.
