The petition
It is the wishes of the players, parents, and spectators that are distributing this that our Coaches, Coach Steve and Coach Stacy are brought back. We never wanted them to leave and feel that they were unjustly forced out of their positions. We players were never asked our opinions as to what we wanted. If the administration cared about us players they would never done this to us. They have ruined our 2007 season and for some their senior year. Coach Mitchell and Coach Davenport cared about us and made themselves available to us 24/7. We always came first and they treated us fairly. They defended and stood up for us and expected us to be the best we could be. We were always learning and striving to be better. They respected us and we them. We were a team on and off the field.
It is our opinion, that Mr. Fuchs does not meet the standards that we feel are necessary to be a good girl�s coach. He has had none to very little communication with parents. He has gotten ride of all our traditions. We never get positive emails or any emails at all regarding our games or practices. We do not feel that he has added anything in the way of coaching to the program. He is inconsistent in his coaching and rules for the team. He has had no interest in getting to know the players personally and there for does not meet their one on one needs. He has torn down the player�s self-esteem in order to build others. He has be little players in front of the entire team more than once. He has made players so upset and confused that they have cried while on the field during games. Players have gotten into arguments on the fields during games, at school, during practices, on the buses because of frustration levels he has caused. He and his coaching staff are inconsistent on how they coach and are continuously getting into arguments in front of the players. This continued treatment and lack of concern has caused some players to quiet, get physically ill, grades to suffer, and others to look into transferring schools. He has divided our team and has made it very clear that he is not interested in building the Soccer program at Dempsey Middle School. Players and parents have gone to the administration and expressed their concerns and nothing has been done.
It is the wishes of the below signed that Mr. Dan Fuchs and his coaching staff with the exception of Abby be removed from the Delaware Hayes Girls Soccer Program and that Coach Steven Mitchell and Coach Stacey Davenport be reinstated as the Delaware Hayes Girls Soccer Coaches.
