Name: Virgil Miller on Dec 10, 2003State: WVCountry: USComments: The last straw was when the enforcement of this law went from having 35% tint to having 35% total tint counting the factory 2 or 3%. What this meant is that those of us who tried to meet the law of 35% had to go pay again to have the 35% taken off and have 40% put on so that we didn't exceed the 35% total. This was just bureaucracy at its finest. And the tint strip across the top of the wind shield is totally ridiculous. Turn down a visor and see how low in your line of vision it can go and see if you can see through it at all. I can see through the tint strip to see traffic lights but I can also drive into the sun in the morning or evening without impaired vision. So how does this restriction aid the police It doesn't--more bureaucracy for its own sake. Leave the citizens alone on their freedoms.Flag

Name: Ronald Acord on Jan 29, 2004State: WVCountry: USComments: I believe that it should be your choice of what you put on your car. This country is suppose to be about freedom and I think it should be your free right to do what you want to your vehicle because you paid for it the government didn't.Flag

Name: Christian Tran on Feb 9, 2004State: ILCountry: USComments: i want this to be passed in a majority of states. as stated, tinting helps protect valuables and protect interiors. an officer could just demand that windows be rolled down before they approach vehicle.Flag

Name: Shane Hamrick Jr. on Apr 4, 2004State: WVCountry: USComments: I very much agree that the window tinting law should be lowered to 25%. With 35% tinting during day-time it is barely noticeable that the windows are even tinted.Flag

Name: Matthew Rutherford on May 26, 2004State: WVCountry: USComments: I agree about the darker tint being better for the car's interior. I have had cars with 20% tint all the way around and have no problem at all with visibility. I have found 20% to be the nicest % tint for visibility, comfort, and glare.Flag

Name: Christalle Rogers on May 26, 2004State: VACountry: USComments: i believe that window tinting percentages should be left to the owner of the car. we pay taxes on our car and have to go through all this other stuff just for our car why cant we just have this simple thing its protected me from many sunny days, but i would love for them to be a bit darker.Flag
