Jonathan | Hale | WV | US | i think that it is very important that the police are safe during traffic stops and some people ruin it for the rest of us when they do stupid shit with tinted windows i really agree with the law to roll down your window when you are stopped at a traffic stop because police safety is the number one concern

Matthew | Ryan | MD | US | I am a maryland resident attending west virginia university. This petition doesn't really pertain to me, but i beleive in standing up for what's right. I am a law abiding citizen who enjoys the looks, comfort, and security of window tinting. Officers would never be threatened by me or my car and the above stated petition is a wonderful alternative to the current 35% tint law. This might even spark business development in west virginia as the number of tinting parlors would increase!

Charles | Ludwig III | WV | US | I have valuables in my car on a regular basis and a darker tint would make it harder for thieves to spot my valuables. For cops's safety we could roll down windows when stopped; plus cops have bright lights that shine through tint jobs.
shanda | staton | WV | US | From the inside, one is provided with a clear view of sides and back. It is always possible to roll down the window when using the side mirrors if a clear view cannot be established.

Teresa | Moles | WV | US | I feel that 35% is a completely rediculous rate of tint. There are other places like Texas (FG25%/RG25%/BGany%)and Florida (FG28%/RG15%/BG15%)that have much higher rate of assaults against law enforcement authorities and overall crime rates that are permitted a much lower rate of visability. There are still law abiding citizens who want these lower levels to preserve the interior and protect the property inside. It is absurb that we are not permitted to further secure our automobiles.

Anonymous | Anonymous | NC | | We here in NC also have a 35% net law and if you put 35% film you are too dark. Would like the law to be changed to allow for that. What really bothers me about tint laws is in many states including NC is that cars must be 35% for all side and the back glass, but suv's etc, can have any darkness tint on windows on the rear side and back glass.

Anonymous | Anonymous | AK | US | Sometimes the sun is so bright, to where you can't see even with sunglasses on.... The tint is a lot easier to drive with and not having to have sunglasses on.

shannon | rudd | WV | US |
Brian | Faulk | WV | US | The tint law should atleast be reduced to 27% with a +/- 2% variance, this would allow for atleast true 35% window fiim to be installed on the windows, most of the time a true 35% will meter from 25% to 35% depending on the small level of factory tint in the glass on most cars... This makes tinting cars "legal" next to impossible without using a 45% film...
bryce | barnes | WV | US | it help keep you stuff safe.
Nick | Blair | WV | US | I think to we should be able to tint our windows darker to be able to reduce the glare of the sun during the days and the glare of headlights at night.
Kenneth | Robinson | WV | US |
TINA | GRIFFIN | GA | US | I AGREE WITH THIS PETITION.
Darci | Bishop | MO | US | I had the tint on my windows proffesionally done and they have been that way for at least three years. Yesterday driving down interstate 35 in kansas city i got pulled over and got a ticket for 83 dollars because they said the tint on my windows is 17% and the law here is 35%.
Anonymous | Anonymous | WV | US | That I think that wouldnt tint shouldnt matter how light or dark it is. Its a thing about privacy.
craig | finney | MI | US |
Susan | Bolyard | WV | US | I want my name added to this petition to lower the WV window tinting law by at least 10%. Lowering can protect citizens belongs, protect seats & etc from sun & other weather, reduces glare at night, reduces brightness for drivers who have light sensitivity and lots of other reasons. One thing that I can't understand is why pickup trucks, vans & others can have their back glass completely darkened by tint, coverings or other means but a car is NOT allowed to have the back glass covered. Why is the pickup with a completely concealed back glass considered safer than a car with the back glass completely concealed?

| 192 | Anonymous | Anonymous | WV | US | i have a car with 20%window tint on it with the light colored interior you can still see thru the windows
i'd like to know what happened to being a free country when the goverment tells you what to do! |
Chanvichet | Chey | WV | US | I don't see why not to change it, because most other states have there %'s lower than are's and they dont seem to have a problem, like the state of Wyoming for instance has a 26%

Daniel | Lloyd | VA | US |
Dustin | Prettyman | WV | US | I think it is rediculous that the window tint laws are the way they are. You should be able to have darker windows the legal tint is way too light
