252 Samantha KeysisI thought this kind of treachory to First Nations People was a thing of the past but commerce comes first before thinking of everyone involved. When I say everyone I mean the Hopi/Navajo people, consumers, future generations and most importantly the land. The Hopi/Navajo people are left with this gapping hole underneath the land they live, toxic residue in the land and water from development. Consumers will not learn about conservation if hydro is so cheap. Did you know that there is still life after ours has past? So many of our ignorant and selfish minds don't have the power to see beyond our time here with Mother Earth. We must awaken from our slumber to see what we've done and what we are obligated to do. Protect, nurture and love the land for the future life that has yet to walk it.

278 Terry TamminenAs the former Secretary of the California EPA, I have reviewed many regulatory packages and know how difficult it is to balance competing needs. This, however, is a clear case of fairness and the tribal rights must be supported.
