| 13033 | Jaimie Lee Hughes | All women should have the freedom to choose how they want to give birth. This means they can choose to go to a hospital, use a midwife or doula at home, or have an unassisted childbirth. What is important that they be able to choose for themselves. |

| 13041 | Victoria Palmeri | I have 3 kids ages 22 19 and 16. 22 years ago my 1st son was born via c-section in a hospital, needless to say it was the worst experience I ever had.So I made a decision at that point back in the mid 80s that I was never gonna have another c-section again. About 2yrs or so after my c-section Idecided to search for a way to take charge of my own body if I was to have another child I was determined to get empowered and educated on natural birth as I could.I found A group in my local newspaper called caesarian prevention group which I attended all the time. It was there that I found my 2 wonderful Midwifes Holly Jacobson and Janet Titmus. After talking to them I was convinced I was having homebirths from now on.I got the best of care from them and although my labors were long they supported me every step of the birthing process. My 1st homebirth was on August 17,1990 where I gave birth to my handsome son with no drugs and no cutting down there. Then my most moving homebirth was 3yrs and 4 days later when I gave birth on August 21,1993 to my beautiful Daughter. So I say to all you woman out there dont let them take away our power as woman to choose how and where we give birth and if home is where some woman choose than so be it,just be sure to educate yourselves fully ask lots of questions and read books on natural home birth, find a group in your area that supports home birth and talk to other woman who have had beautiful empowering homebirths like I did twice and for me I would not choose any other way. I hope what I have written has enlighteded someone out there and if you ever wanna chat with me feel free to contact me @ blossom5333@yahoo.com or I can be found on myspace at www.myspace.com/blossom5333. Thanks and have a Blessed day....Vicky Palmeri |
