Name: Bumpers on Feb 9, 2010Comments: Disappointing, many modern titles already have 360 controller support, and whilst I wouldn't use one for multiplayer, it's certainly my first choice when it comes to the singleplayer. Hope it comes in a patch.Flag

Name: Jeff From Manila, Philippines on Feb 10, 2010Comments: I fully understand there's major development work required to put Xbox 360 Controller for Windows support back in there, new control scheme and all (e.g. dual-wielding of plasmid + weapon) but I have faith that this can be easily put back in. Just come up with something that puts barebones support back in, throw it at the community as a BETA patch and surely the we are brimming with gamers who will beta-test for you (just look at the 2K forums and the number of those who will do this for you for free!! Call it open-crowd-sourcing if you must.) We are not contesting that keyboard & mouse control is more accurate, but the two major sticking points are that (1) controller support was excellent in BioShock and you can't give something like that and take it away just like that when it's a major selling point of the first game; (2) with the increasing adoption of HDTVs, plus the amazing graphics that's in the game just practically begging to be exploited with DirectX 10 on a huge display, plus the rumble that's so integral into the experience, I would argue that dropping controller support was a hasty decision made by 2K. Just think of the many gamers and reviewers who will go back to BioShock 2 time and time again as *the game* to go to when you need a demo that combines great story (even greater than the original), great multi-player support (which the original lacked), great GFWL integration (the original also lacked this) and great controller support as there was in the first BioShock - that would immortalize BioShock 2 even more so than the original BioShock did.Flag

Name: Ingmar Lak on Feb 10, 2010Comments: Rumble alone is enough reason why no gamepad support is crazy. It worked great in Bio1 and its a crying shame that to experience the ultimate version of Bioshock 2 (dx10, resolution, aa etc.) we don't get one of the most immersive dimensions with force feedback. Please patch the pad back in!Flag

Name: Mike Younger on Feb 10, 2010Comments: Not for one second did it ever cross my mind that Bioshock 2 WOULDN'T support the 360 controller - when I discovered, at the very last minute, that the controller wasn't being supported, it practically ruined my day. Moving around Rapture, using the analog movement of the 360 controller, was a beautiful experience. It felt like I was in control of a camera. I could slow right down, and then speed right up. I'd say that the people who use the controller in this manner have culture. We want to slow down and experience fluid movement while we explore the world - the mouse/keyboard combination, with its either walk or run functionality, just destroys the atmosphere. Please implement 360 controller support exactly as it was in the first game - and by the way, the first game implemented the best use of the 360 controller I've ever seen. Why remove that? Thank you.Flag

Name: Chris Mancuso on Feb 10, 2010Comments: I played the first game on 360 and have since gotten a good gaming PC (w/ radeon 5870) and had planned on playing Bioshock 2 through my 42" 1080p LCD TV but without controller support it is not possible. Controller was supported in the first game. it seems silly to take it out.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Feb 10, 2010Comments: Ditto the comments of many others... regardless of whatever reasons the decision to not support 360 controller were at the time, not adding this feature will effect the bottom line. It's also a glaring oversight from a customer satistfaction point of view... many people want controller pc based gaming. You should cater to them as well, especially if/when you're releasing the same game on xbox360/ps3.Flag

Name: Marc Neuberger on Feb 10, 2010Comments: C'mon, guys. I bought an XBOX 360 controller specifically for BioShock I, and I loved it. I just /assumed/ that BioShock II would support it. Indeed, there was press that suggested it would. I'm bitterly disappointed. I'll probably play it with kybd, but I won't enjoy it :-) This is totally bow gus.Flag

Name: Jerry Leonard on Feb 10, 2010Comments: Love the series. Hate having to play with lights on or close to the monitor or even having to look at the keyboard to find the keys. Don't get me wrong have the game trying to relearn to use a keyboard to play. With so many other high end games (Batman Arkham Asylum, Borderlands) Still using the controller there has to be a way to workout the issues you ran into. Maybe even a mod/shift button to alt the key mode.Flag

Patch me controller support. I paid for something that I can not play. Not everyone likes using a keyboard, and for assuming that you failed.Flag

Name: Joey Bryant on Feb 10, 2010Comments: I bought the game assming it would have gamepad support as it is a GFW and the first one did. I am now at home and now have just finished installing the game that it doesnt. Thats $50 that I just threw out the window. I dont mean to sound rude but i really feel like i was ripped off on this. You know you cant return pc games to get your money back and I really cant use kb/mouse because of my setup. The gamepad support has to be brought back and if ot then ther should be the option to return this product and get your money back. Thank you.Flag

Name: Joonwoo Park on Feb 10, 2010Comments: The Basic principle LEAVE THE CHOICE TO USERS. Don't forget it is not you, developers but the users that decide how to enjoy the game. We are not asking something impossible or weird. Bioshock 2 for console surely supports pad control(well.. it cannot help supporting pad control though) and Bioshock 1 for all platform supports pad control. I think it doesn't need too much work for you to enable pad control for Bioshock 2 PC.Flag
