We are asking that the Marietta Daily Journal treat School Board candidate Bill Borden fairly. Act in a balanced and fair manner towards both candidates. Stop relying on anonymous bloggers for information which are often rumors rather than news.  This is why good people are hesitant to run for School Board and other elected office. 

Mr. Brumby, please consider your legacy before you continue with these, and other, lines of biased attack.  Do you wish to be remembered in this manner? And please consider the futures of the young writers and editors whose careers are in your hands. Are you doing justice to them? Will they be able to be hired at reputable newspapers? Will other newspapers look at them as future employees with journalistic ethics? What impression are you giving outsiders of our wonderful city of Marietta? Of our wonderful county of Cobb? Are you helping or hindering companies and families to move here and raising the value of our community?  

And finally, to the advertisers in the Marietta Daily Journal, we ask that you think deeply about your association with this newspaper.  What does this association say about the reputation of your company?  Especially when there are so many other options for advertising in today's highly wired world.
