Secure bike sheds for staff and students at The University of Strathclyde If you are a member of staff or a student at The University of Strathclyde and you cycle to the University, you may be aware of the amount of bicycles that are stolen from the campus. The University is an ambassador of the cycle to work scheme, and also encourages students to cycle to University, which reduces our carbon footprint and increases fitness. There are hundreds of bikes on campus every day, and as yet, there are no secure bike sheds to keep our bikes safe whilst on campus. This makes an easy target for thieves and bikes are stolen on a regular basis. I hope you will join me in asking the University to build us some secure bike sheds, so that we may go to work or study, without worrying about having our property stolen.
