The old Salvation Army Centre in Northgate Darlington is currently being turned into a Drug and Alcohol Treatment Centre, however this was done WITHOUT a Community Impact Assessment or WITHOUT the knowledge of the surrounding business's. the centre will be next to a childrens nursery, childrens softplay centre, a local park, dance studio, cinema which is just careless
when we asked them why they are putting it at the location the answer was simply 'money'!
However we agree that there should be a place for people to get help and this is a clean campaign to get it removed from its current location to a more Suitable one
Any slanderous comments will be removed!

I take my little boy to the soft play and honestly I wont be going if they open this. Too scary for me.
Total madness. Who planned this? Needs to be moved somewhere else fast before something bad happens.
ITS ALL ABOUT THE MONEY FOR THEM. THEY DONT CARE ABOUT OUR KIDS AT ALL. MOVE IT NOW
should be in a quiet area not in the middle of a family zone. think about the safety of these kids.
Ridiculous location choice. Really hope they listen to the people who actually live and work here.

My daughter goes to that dance studio all the time. Why on earth would they put this right next to kids??? It makes no sense at all.
