Cubs are taken from their mothers shortly after birth, and are used as photo props, or used in petting zoos.

They are also kept as pets, or killed for their skin, or other body parts.

Once these dangerous and beautiful creatures get too big to handle, they are put in chain link prisons only big enough to stand and turn around in.

In the U.S., there are 10,000 to 20,000 tigers as pets or private ownership. There are more backyard tigers in America than in the wild.

Over the past 21 years, there have been 22 deaths of humans, 248 maulings, 260 escapes, 144 big cats deaths, and 141 confiscations.

Main reasons why tigers and other big cats SHOULD NOT BE BACKYARD PETS-

-Once cubs are born, they are taken away from their mothers to live in horrible conditions as pets, photo props, or in so-called ''conservation centers'' a.k.a roadside zoos.
-They are killed for body parts such as pelts and bones.
-They are a hazard to citizens near the big cats.
-It endangers these beautiful cats even more than they already are.
-It puts them in a lot of stress.
