TO THE BRIGHTON BOARD OF EDUCATION: This petition has been created to show the Brighton Central School District Board of Education strong objection to Athetic Director's, Fritz Kilian, refusal to renew Marcy Clawson's contract as Varsity Cheer Coach at Brighton High School, mid year and without cause. Marcy Clawson provided a safe and positive environment for BHS students interested in competitive cheerleading.While maintaining all academic standards and practice, Marcy encouraged all student participants to practice, persevere, team build, compete, learn and excel, at their sport of choice, cheerleading. Over the course of 4 years, the level of participation, dedication, and overall competitive success has grown at a dynamice pace and has exceeded previous expectations of parents and students alike. Removing Marcy Clawson, without cause, undermines the program's current success and participation. BY SIGNING THIS PETITION: 1. I respectfully request without duress or influence of others, and of my own accord, the reinstatement of Marcy Clawson as Varsity Cheer Coach for Brighton High School. 2. I am in full support of the reinstatement of Marcy Clawson as varsity cheer coach at Brighton High School and know of no reason why the Board should refuse or withhold her reinstatement.
