Sandy Tilt | My husband and I live downtown and want very much for the dome to be built adjacent to the BJCC. It would be a great asset for the City Center in conjuntion with the Museum of Art, Alabama Theater, McWane Center, Civil Rights Museum,,Carver Theater, Red Mountain Theater and soon to be Railroad Reservation Park. Are we not working for the revitilization of downtown? I think it would be a big mistake to build the dome any where else but downtown.

RODERICK WARE | After livng in the Washington-Baltimore area for the past 21 years. I have seen how the areas and stadiums have revitilized the downtown ares if buth cities. I hear Rep. ogers wants it near the race course with upscale housing. People in upscale do not want to deal with that kind of traffic. People in Virginia did not want the Redskins Stadium because of that. Washington D.C. regrets that it s in Maryland because of how the basketball area hs revitalized chinatowm and the new baseball stadium is revitlizing the national harbor. I am happy to Larry anford as Mayor for cleaning the lots around Mother's home alone. But he better not blow this. Or the Stadium will about as sucessful as that horse track.
David Virciglio | downtown only makes since, the other places do not. I know that people would be more attracted and more visitors downtown.
Tim Dreaden | If Birmingham is going to rebuild its downtown area and attract the dollars that are being spent elsewhere, the dome would be a nice addition to the downtown skyline and something which to build on!!!
Hasan Balkom | If the dome was built downtown it will bring in more developing opportunities for the downtown area and it would make a major impact on the economy.
Clisby S. Jones | Downtown Birmingham is one of the most visible sights in the state of Alabama, the Dome would be seen by the thousands of out of town people every day, and that is the greatest marketing tool for any thing, because you never know whose driving by.

Eric Jesse | this would be great for the city or population would expand create more jobs bring more money to the city and more recognition too
Sesus Cook | I live in Battle Creek,Michigan now, but as a person from Mobile, Alabama. I would like to show the world that we are not country, and have much to offer as anybody else does. With that siad i think when you travel to cities you like to go downtown, and see what their downtown looks like and has to offer. I also think the dome will shape the downtown area.
