| 110 | Astyn Richard | It is a dire mistake to locate the dome in any location other than directly adjacent to the BJCC. |

| 113 | David McCaleb,Architect,NCARB | The concept of locating the Dome adjacant to the BJCC could be compared to the marketing concept of a shopping mall. In the shopping mall, the notion of two major anchor stores (ie: Sears and Macy) at each end with mall connector between the two makes the mall an economics success for the mall and the community. The central business district ( the Sears anchor)to north and 20th street ( as the mall)and 5Points South/UAB,Vulcan Park, etc. (the Macy anchor ) reinforce the placement of the "dome" at the north anchor. Placement of the dome at the north anchor completes the logic of
" all the parts together make up the whole". This is what should make the decision of location of the dome... not the race track which has no connection
to the city. The location of the should be a "no Brainer" unless we need another "Visionland". |

| 116 | tamara harper | i do not support the dome, but since it is already funded, downtown is the best place for it. |
| 117 | Anonymous | Downtown is the the ONLY option when you consider (and you have to consider) the hotel space for conventions. The dog track (and yes Larry, it is a dog track-it stopped being a horse track two decades ago!) is too far from the city center. |
| 118 | Anonymous | The dome HAS TO be downtown. DO IT! |
| 119 | Peggy Harrell | Fill downtown Birmingham's hotels, restaurants, and tax coffers with money from those attending events at the domed stadium, not those of Hoover and Trussville! Building the domed stadium at the Race Track will give easy I-459 access to hotels and shopping in Hoover and Trussville and leave Birmingham citizens holding the bill. |
| 120 | Anonymous | Building the dome anywhere is STUPID and a waste of taxpayer money.
Our best hope is that he is convicted and removed from office before this gets off the ground and the council scraps the plans and reduces the sales tax.
It wont happen though.
My concern with downtown is there isnt enough space. What are they going to do ? Have everyone park in woodlawn and trolley to the dome ? |

| 123 | Anonymous | If you want the SEC Football Championship game back then you will have to have a place for the SEC Fan Fare. The BJCC. |

| 127 | John Morse | The dome is a waste of money unless it expands the capacity of the downtown BJCC and contributes toward the success of the other downtown entertainment and tourism developments. |

| 131 | Anonymous | The infrastructure to support a dome is already in place (or planned) for the BJCC area.
Any facility near the race course will go unused most of the year, plus most of the money generated by out of town visitors would likely be spent in Trussville instead of Birmingham. |
| 132 | Nathan Cooke | Putting the dome anywhere but downtown is like signing a death sentence for both the dome and downtown! |
| 133 | Anonymous | It only makes sense to build the dome downtown and I can't believe it's even being considered to built elswhere. |

| 135 | Daniel Taylor | San Antonio is a clear example of what not to do. |
| 136 | John NIcolin | |
| 137 | Marvin Goodman | Building the dome downtown is the most logical choice. For the dome to be built near the race cousre would be a total waste of money. Who would want to drive all the way out there for any type of events or conferences. A downtown location offers a better tourist destination in a central area. Use the dome as a true revitalization tool in conjunction with the new entertainment district and railroad park. I've been following dome news since i was about 12, back in the days of MAPS, we've finally made it through the tunnel, please let's make it work and not sabotage it by putting the dome anywhere but downtown! |
| 138 | Jason M. Gruber | |
| 139 | Marc Fugnitto | For a dome in Birmingham to have any chance of being financialy succesfull it must be part of a mixed use development that includes the BJCC, entertainment districts and hotels, restaurants, etc. that downtown offers. |

| 144 | Antonio | No doubt the dome need to be downtown. It will add to the city skyline.I'm from Birmingham, but now reside in Georgia.I meet alot of people and they always say Birmingham don't have anything. That hurt because I'm proud of where I'm from. Most of stadiums or dome are in cities downtown area |
| 145 | Andy Corneil | The Dome needs to go downtown. |
| 146 | Nimit Patidar | It would be idiodic to build the dome elsewhere. I have recently moved to Birmingham from Washington D.C. and I truely can tell that Birmingham has no true "downtown." When I drive through "downtown," at times, I feel like I am driving through a desserted city. The excitement is just not there. Obviously comparing D.C. and Birmingham is a bit biased, but the ultimate point is that Birmingham has the potential to grow into a D.C./Atlanta caliber city, while putting Atlanta to shame. |

| 150 | Brent Earnest | Business leaders and the chamber of commerce have agreed for years that downtown is the best location. This is a high risk venture. To build it at a location that would require additional infrastructure would increase the risk this project could fail. The best possiblity for success is with the BJCC |
