This would give my older kids something to do besides look for a party, spray paint million dollar houses with grafitti, or worse, make me a grandfather! Currently, I have to drive from Nashville to Louisville to find a 24 hour park. If BG opens 24 hours, consider my family there! |

| 1806 | Luke Short | I believe that a public facility, such as a public skatepark, should supply and/or offer a myriad of times available for usage (espescially a skatepark). I say this mainly because skateboarding is a lifestyle and art that encompasses many age groups. I am an older skater that, more often than not, cannot just drop everything to make a skate session at the only available times (plus, an early morning session usually allows the older guys a little more freedom in riding the park; kids are usually crammed into every corner of the place during the day and early in the evening) I think the skatepark should be open twenty-four hours because of this important fact and I strongly stand behind the idea both as a skater and a father. |

look at nashville and gallatin,TN there open 24 hours a day which i think is a great idea |

| 1813 | brett | if the park was open 24/7 it would give people that work late... a chance to skate if they like.. not everyone has the time during the day to skate like some people. I personally would skate more at night, like.. early morning when people come out to skate, they come so early because hardly anyone is there... during say.. 2pm everyone is there and it makes it harder to skate.. anyone under 18 should have a curfew tho... that or have parents with them... and i personally would keep the park clean.. every night i would skate there... which i havnt yet.. because im in texas.. but when i do get down there i would pick it up right before i left... only because who want's to skate a dirty park? and when i was living at fort campbell we did the same thing all these people "who didnt skate" would come over and trash it... with ciggerettes, coke cans, wrappers, and all this other stuff... and they threatend to shut it down.. until a few of us started picking it up... |

Not everyone who skates can do so during normal operational hours.
It also seems that parks with restricted hours see more vandalism than those who are 24 hours a day. |
