| 2 | Chris Daly | I urge the city to make every effort to obtain this unique property for the public's benefit. Such an opportunity may never come again.
Thank you.

| 3 | Robert Fizek | Yes indeed.
An ideal use for CPA funds

| 8 | Karen Bray | Please apply all possible means to aquire 20 Rogers Street so that we can create a beautiful lake /park for all residents of Newton. It will have benefits for everyone! |

| 10 | Mary W. Carpenter | I have signed this petition before and also collected many petitions from other Newton residents eager to acquire 20 Rogers St and restore and improve the Gil Bath House public swimming area. |
| 11 | Henry Bolter | |
| 12 | Joyce Pollock | |
| 13 | Jeffrey Hurwit | The lake is an incredible, unique resource - so close to a city center yet visibly attractive and clean. We should sieze this unique opportunity to purchase the adjacent land and expand it into a true "public pleasure ground" (in the language of the 1800's) as a park, beach, swimming place and community gathering spot. Thank you for all your efforts. |

| 15 | Anonymous | Community Preservation funds should be reserved and put into an escrow fund for acquisition of the abutting Rogers St. property. It should have been done 5 yrs ago when the first round of CPA funds were available. |
| 16 | Michael J Clarke | I support the CPA purchase of land around Crystal Lake, not just that adjacent to the swimming area. |
| 17 | Anonymous | Please buy 20 Rogers St. It is an eyesore, and the owner is just making trouble for the whole community. Crystal Lake is too beautiful to be harmed in this way. Development of the site according to the plan displayed here is lovely. It suits the city. |
| 18 | Edith Fenton | Crystal Lake is an under-appreciated resource. I applaud your efforts to make it even better. Thank you. |
| 19 | Richard C. Sterne | My wife, Ruth W. Sterne, signed this petition. Would you e-mail me to confirm that you have her signature on it? Thank you.

| 20 | Dana Alan Jackson | For 18 years I lived around the corner on Allerton Road (I've lived in Lower Falls for the past 28 years) and the condition of the city-owned property at Crystal Lake has always been in need of expansion and improvement. I hope the petitioners' efforts will prove effective. |
| 21 | Diana Fisher Gomberg | This is a much bettter use of CPA funds than the turf proposal at Newton South. |
| 22 | Mark Link | I do love the lake, but wish it could be more accessible. |
| 23 | Lloyd Smith | |
| 24 | Rebecca Roop-Kharasch | I love Chrystal Lake and would love to have the beach front property improved. |
| 25 | Joel Ziff | |
| 26 | Irle Goldman | Let's buy the adjacent property and keep the beachfront open longer! |
| 27 | Neal Green | The City of Newton should do all it can to preserve this fresh water lake. |
| 28 | Jonathan Slavin | |
| 29 | Murad Taqqu | I strongly support buying the Rogers property so as to inhance the swimming area, where there is hardly any plac to sit. |

| 32 | Jeff Bussgang | THANK YOU FOR DOING THIS!!! We need to make the Bath House a better facility for our community! It is disgraceful. |

| 38 | Hal Lichtin | I've been intending to sign this for too long. The current situation is a disgrace. Nothing beyond minor maintenance appears to have been done to the bathouse and lake area since the 1950's. The current arrangement is inadequate and an invitation to pollution from the parking area runoff.
Purchasing the 20 Rogers Street property must be just the first step towards developing the park and bathing area that Newton deserves. |
| 39 | Diana Korzenik | 20 Rogers street would profide a GRACiOUS spacious city park with beach! Its too wonderful. We must make this site belong to all the citizens. |
| 40 | Anonymous | I strongly encourage our mayor to not miss this one-time opporunity to acquire this important public space for the benefit of all Newton residents long into the future. We won't get another opportunity. |
